Life is a journey, not a destination. Ralph Waldo Emerson
When do you determine the starting point of your journey? I'd like to think my journey as evolving as time goes on. I grew up in a small town in New Mexico. Some people would say I grew up on a farm. I simply refer to it as home. Yes, we were surrounded animals; pigs, goats, steers, heifer, etc. There was a quarter mile of space around our house and seven randomly scattered neighbors. There weren't many children in this area. Our social skills were built in the 4-H and FFA programs. New Mexico was my home for 37 years. In May of 2011, I visited Laramie and after spending a couple of days here, I decided it was time for a change. I put all my efforts into a job search at the University. Six months later I moved to this wonderful area. I never knew snow could last so long. It was so cold! In the fall of 2012, I heard Emily Brown speak about Body Love at a local event. She held a Body Love program in the Spring of 2013. I began practicing yoga following her program then decided to take Yoga Teacher Training that fall. That began the ever-changing journey of where I am now.
